We’ve made it more than halfway through the season!

In Friday's meet against Canterbury Woods, our Piranhas powered through the heat with incredible team spirit, fast swims, a new relay team record, and another team victory! Don't miss these action shots on Instagram.

The next three weeks are some of the busiest and most exciting: relay meets, social events, and divisional meets are all just around the corner.

Here's what you need to know for the week ahead.

It's Relay Week! We have TWO relay meets this week: Divisional Relay Carnival (Wednesday) and Villa Gorilla Relay Invitational (Thursday). Both are away and in the evening. See calendar for timing details.

• Relay entries will be sent early this week, followed by volunteer sign-ups with a quick turnaround.

• If your swimmer needs to scratch, please let Karen know immediately so relay teams can be adjusted.

• Relay swimmers should plan to attend practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have a conflict on Tuesday and need to miss, prior approval is required. Wednesday's practice is required for divisional relay carnival: no exceptions.

• Additional relay practice details will be sent with team entries.

Wednesday: Ice Cream at the Pool after Relay Carnival

• The whole team is invited back to the pool in the evening for ice cream together after relay carnival concludes (usually around 8pm). Timing and meet-up details will be shared through TeamSnap.

• Wacky Wednesday practice theme: long sleeves or shorts.

Friday: Amazing Race Social. Come ready for an evening of teamwork, challenges, outdoor games, and plenty of fun. Starts at 5:30pm. More details will be added to the calendar this week.

Saturday: A Meet & Parent Social

Away A Meet at Poplar Heights. Entries and meet details will be sent Thursday evening.

• Theme: Cowboys vs. Surfers! Let's show NVSL we've still got that Top 10 Spirit.

Parent Social. Join us in the Pergola Party Area at 7pm, this time with a Ted Lasso theme. Bring an appetizer to share and your favorite beverage. Bonus points for Ted Lasso-inspired attire. Believe!

Deadline Extended for The Carl Smearman Scholarship. The deadline is extended to Monday, July 6 for the Piranha Power Boosters Carl Smearman Scholarship. All graduating seniors in the Class of 2026 are encouraged to apply. See the attached information for eligibility requirements and application details.

General B Meet Notes

• No B Meet this week.

• Our B Meets have been running smoothly! Huge thank-you to the parents who worked both halves of last week's B Meet.

• For the last two B Meets, due to the size of the teams, our team reps have decided we cannot add late or on-deck entries. Sign up by 3pm the Saturday before.

• We know the walk from the field is a bit, eh….swampy. But please park in the field for B meets so we can give our guests the gravel spaces.
