Dive Practice Policies
- Divers are expected to learn the types of dives requested by the coaches.
- Divers are expected to pay attention and work hard during practice.
- Divers who are goofing off or not paying attention make practice less instructive and fun for others.
- Coaches have an Escalation Plan for handling a diver’s behavior.
- First, coaches will talk to the diver about his/her behavior.
- Second, coaches will talk to the diver about his/her behavior and will ask the diver to sit out of practice for a period of time.
- Third, coaches will talk to the diver’s parents if the above approach has not addressed the issue.
Repeated incidents are grounds for suspension and other actions.
