Dear Piranhas Families -

What a fantastic turnout we had for our team outfitting day! It was great to see everyone there.

Please remember to write your swimmer’s name in all of their team gear, including team t-shirts and team suits. (Pro tip: write your swimmer’s name and age group. For example: Katie Smith, 8U girls).

And keep your team t-shirt safe – you’ll need it for this year’s team photo (coming up June 2).

Suit Up: Our First Practice Is Almost Here!

Don't forget, our first practice is this Thursday, May 25. The weather forecast looks great, but keep an eye on TeamSnap for any last minute updates. If you have any questions, reach out to Karen Corbett.

Upcoming Officials Trainings

The first NVSL officials training clinics started this weekend and there are plenty of opportunities ahead. Here are dates for upcoming clinics:

• Sunday, June 4 at 8:30am: New/Recertification Stroke and Turn Clinic at Fox Mill Woods, Holmes Run, Overlee, and Sully Station II
• Wednesday, June 7 at 7pm.: Referee/Starter Recertification (Virtual)
• Sunday, June 11 at 8:30am.: New Referee at Overlee, New Starter at Stratford, and Ref/Starter Recertification at Greenbriar
• Tuesday, June 13 at 7pm: Stroke and Turn Recertification (Virtual)
• Wednesday, June 14 at 7pm: New/Recertification Stroke and Turn at Vienna Woods and Village West

First Ever Piranha-thon: June 13

Get ready to take up a challenge, swim your way to glory, and raise funds for our team in our highly anticipated and first-ever swim-a-thon.

Details are coming this week. Keep an eye out for an email from Andrea Cordero with everything you need to know about the event, including what the swimmers will do and how sponsorship works.

A Few Housekeeping Reminders…

As we approach our meets, remember to go through your summer schedule and mark your availability for A Meets. Additionally, sign up for volunteer positions for Time Trials. Every family is expected to volunteer!
