Relay Carnival Meet Sheet

Please see attached the meet sheet for this Wednesday’s Division 11 Relay Carnival taking place on July 6 at Sideburn Run Pool. The meet starts at 6:30 PM (Arrival Time is 5:45 PM, Warm-Up is at 6 PM in Lanes 4-6). Only relay races will be held. Freestyle and medley races for each age group, plus mixed age. The number of swimmers participating in Relay Carnival is lower than an A-meet because we field one freestyle and one medley race team per age group. Even if your swimmer is not part of a relay team, please come out and support your fellow swimmers at this super fun competition. A few important guidelines:

  • Similar to last year, we expect all relay swimmers to attend practice on July 5-6 (unless they are a 15-18 swimmer who has a job or internship that prevents them from attending practice on these days).  If you are no longer able to practice on these days or your availability has changed, please email [email protected] by Noon on Tuesday, July 5.
  • If you are interested in Relay Carnival t-shirts, Pre-Order T-Shirts by 5 PM on Tuesday, July 5. The t-shirt vendor is not making t-shirts on-site. The t-shirts will be available for pick-up at the meet. If the vendor runs out of sizes, the t-shirts will be mailed to you.
  • If your swimmer swims at this event, you are expected to Volunteer. If you didn’t volunteer at the A-Meet or the IM Carnival, please volunteer at this meet. Only certified S&T Judges or Referees should sign up as RTO Judges.
  • We want our swimmers to stay cool and indoors before the meet—please, please do not have your swimmer hang out at the pool or outside at camp after practice on Wednesday.
  • After Relay Carnival, it is a tradition that the team celebrates with ice cream! All Parklawn Piranhas are welcome to join in some tasty ice-cream treats after the meet at Parklawn Pool. We will send details on TeamSnap on Wednesday regarding time, which depends on when RC ends.
  • This is a large meet – all of the teams in Division 11 are participating, and we won this meet in Division 15 last year! Please remember to lock your cars and do not leave any valuables in sight.
  • You can pull into the parking lot to drop off swimmers, and then you can look for street parking or spots at the church across the street.
  • Please bring cash to support their grill and concessions – teams host these Division meets to raise money for their team. It is considered poor sportsmanship to bring your own donuts or other treats to a meet.
  • This meet’s theme is Piranha Pride. Which Piranha Relay Team will bring the Most Piranha GREEN Spirit?
